The transit was all of 17 miles or so,no worries, so we packed kinda 'loosely' shall we say. This means the rear of the backseat [where the top goes down] was full, as was the trunk, and the back seat was filled up to window level. It's strange that without sucking out the two sucky bags, we ended up with almost three times as much volume... ... but maybe that's just my perspective...
A few mixed messages and our unit that was thought to be available at 8:30 am. was not available until 2:00 pm. so we just moved on to a pet friendly restaurant to spend some time.
The food was very good, the portions much bigger than required, and Cragen was a big hit.
We still finished long before 2 pm. but drove to our accommodations anyway. The cleaners had left so we just moved in. What a great place! Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, large living dining room, all on the second floor accessible by elevator! The lower level has parking for two very long cars, a huge storage room, and a great two story Florida room with a lap pool!
And, it was all clean, with more kitchen gadgets and tools that we'll ever need, a huge second floor deck overlooking the pool, a big upper deck out side at the front of the house with proper new BBQ. Did I mention everything was very clean?
The first thing I saw when looking out our bedroom window was a huge, 10 to 12 foot alligator on the shore opposite us, just sunning himself about 100' from our bedroom window. Cragen will not be walking the backyard, ever!
Pictures may follow; we may just stay here for the month without going to the beach, or shelling. ... or not.
All in all, this place is infinitely better than the last, and we'll be very happy to spend February here. Our house number works here for our Canadian family and friends so feel free to call. We're on eastern standard time.
