'Our' gated community has been holding an annual car show for a few years and this year it was a Corvette show. The show was held at our community centre that provided an attractive and welcoming space.
There were Corvettes of many different vintages, including this iconic 1958, GM's 50th anniversary.
This one's a 1957, one of my favourite years.
I'm not sure which vintage this belongs to, it's been so highly modified. A very expensive and lengthy process of modifying your car to make it 'yours'. As far as I'm concerned, it's way over the top, way too much for me. However, it does have some very interesting bits that are in good taste...
Next is an older Mercedes hot rod: this 6.3 litre family zoomer; a red light surprise for many teenagers, but that's another story.
Now people of my vintage will remember this Triumph TR3, just one of the many British sports car invasion of the late fifties. The much improved latest Miata seems to be the last remaining example of this category of cars... That too is another story.
Next is a 1957 Chevrolet BelAir, convertible with an A&W tray. If you need explanations, I'm so sorry: this era was great, and really is beyond explanations.

The show also contained this Pink well autographed firetruck, canvassing for attention to Cancer. Their marching cry: Dare to wear pink!
What a great way for local volunteer firemen to give back [again] by increasing awareness of this grim reaper.
Car shows are a great place to see new things, share the passion of many car caretakers, and meet interesting people; what fun.
