Little Yellow Truck

For the car buffs only:

This is a 1934 [I think] Ford truck. The owner carefully restored the body then waited a while before finding a suitable wrecked Toyota Tundra with an intact frame and running gear.

After measuring a thousand times, using the average, the body would still not fit the frame if you wanted to keep the front independent suspension and the four-wheel drive. Friendly welders were brought in, the frame was modified, and the union was possible!

This is now a modern 1934 Ford truck with a beautiful paint-job and a completely reliable and useful four-wheel drive that gets over 35 MPG! Plus air conditioning, effective heater, disk brakes, super electrics, and did I mention reliability?

It just sits little higher than it should, but who'd really care?

The owner is from Colorado, drove it here to Grayton Beach, and decided that it's staying here. He's now building a garage for it, so today is possibly a last chance to make these photos.

What an attention getter! What fun!
