Gulfport to Panama City Beach

As opposed to Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, and the Florida panhandle are very flat.  The Interstate #10 highway is essentially a series of bridges over swamp land.  There are few large cities so melting miles away is not a problem.  We reached Panama City Beach by 1 pm and we had lunch with Marida and Warren Maybee, fellow condo owners at 60 McLeod St.  Actually, they were our landlords when we first moved there, but that's another story.

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday was the miles of crab farms that we drove by.  These fields were absolutely flat and flooded or partially flooded.  Hard to believe that where crabs come from, but there you have it.

We went to Grayton Beach State Park for a quick visit after lunch and came back here for the night.  We now have three fairly easy days to reach our destination at the Cypress Hills RV center in southern Florida.

Lets hope it warms up!
