We ended up eating at a restaurant recommended by a cashier at the manatee gift shop that we met. These recommendations can really be the start of fantastic culinary experiences. I haven't selected any pictures of us diving in to great food, just a few of what I thought was a very well designed modern restaurant, near a marina, at the end of a very long dead end.

This is the view from the outside patio, while we actually ate at another patio behind where I was standing. The restaurant was names Circles, a place you might suss out if you're in the area.
On Sunday, we went to Sanibel with Chris, Peter and Cragen. Our little encampment consisted of a little shade and a place for lunch, drinks, and a little shade, or did I mention that already...
We were ready for a few hours of shelling which was not overly successful. We arrived just after low tide when an hour earlier might have been better, the incoming tide was pushed by very strong winds, so the water was pretty murky, and the beach was far from level so the shells were being beaten severely.
As usual, a few 'treasures' were found, but very few. Here's a shot of our encampment and the gorgeous beach.
The beach is empty because real shellers know this is not a good day for shelling; but then they didn't drive 3/4 hours to get there.
While we may not have found many shells worth picking up, let alone keep, we did get some sun, lots of it.
