This and that, Jan 3

The laundry is done, the clothes sorted and the suitcases/boxes/bags/whatevers are stored.

Our world is unfolding as it should.

We had renewed our Zoo membership but had not received our new cards, so it was time to go to the zoo to set things right. The lady at the membership counter was most helpful and printed out our new membership cards on the spot: wow, how good is that? This is probably the first time we can go to the zoo without a temporary pass, but that's another story.

As we walked to the turnstiles, Joan remembered she didn't have her photo-id. It was already after 3pm, so just a good time to head back to Louise Street.

We did see a few gigantic and beautiful eucalyptus trees that seem to be everywhere. These trees were imported from Australia as a cash crop since they were fast growing and good wood for building. They are also great landscaping trees and live well in San Diego.

Here's one for your approval.

Of course, Pally is now accepting us as old friends, and doesn't mind posing for me.

Soon to follow, Maverick.  ...and maybe zoo pictures too.
