Cape Coral

We went to Cape Coral this morning to take in an Art and Music Festival.  The main street was closed, and the GPS tried pretty hard to go to the Main Street.

With the parking karma queen on board, finding a parking spot was easy. The festival had a gazillion people and the people crush was starting to get to us after a while, so we left.

There we well over 100 vendors: potters, jewelry, painters, photographers, wood workers, glass blowers, you name it, they were there.

This is not a high end, high quality show, just a very large craft show, just like so many others. Except for being very large.

We saw dozens of dogs, all shapes and sizes with small dogs prevailing.

This stall had a therapy pony that just stood there letting everyone pet him. Joan had a short talk with the handler.

We needed more space to sit down and eat, so Joan asked a policeman who directed us to the local Pincher's, part of the Weston resort. When the main street is closed, it is hard to get Carmen [our Garmin] to find an alternate route: she just wants to use the main route...

Traffic was between being in a total grid-lock or a complete standstill.  Fortunately, the airconditioner works just fine, even when the top is down...

After lunch, we walked into the marina and made a few shots. The large building at the back is the Westin resort. We ate at below the balcony on the left edge of this picture.

Tonight we go back to Sanibel for a jazz show. Should be fun.
